The HANA Centre organized a dedicated dissemination session for its final-year students to introduce them to the OPEN-Fashion project, its objectives, expected outcomes, and the opportunities it offers to future professionals in the textile, apparel, and fashion industries.
The event provided students with an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the profound green and digital transformation currently reshaping the fashion sector. Particular attention was given to the growing importance of innovation, sustainability, and international collaboration in preparing young professionals for an increasingly dynamic labour market.
During the session, students were introduced to the key objectives of the OPEN-Fashion project and its expected impact on the future of textile and fashion education. The discussion highlighted the importance of developing green and digital skills to respond effectively to the evolving needs of companies and the wider industry. Participants also explored the project’s future learning opportunities, innovative training approaches, and digital educational resources, gaining insight into how these tools can support their professional development and lifelong learning.
The session further encouraged an open exchange of ideas on how young people can contribute to building a more sustainable, innovative, and competitive fashion ecosystem. Students were invited to reflect on the skills, knowledge, and approaches that will be increasingly important in their future careers.
The dissemination event generated strong interest and active participation among the students. The discussions demonstrated their growing awareness of the challenges and opportunities associated with the green and digital transition of the fashion industry.
The session also laid the foundations for greater student engagement with the project’s upcoming activities, supporting the development of the competences and innovative mindset required by the fashion industry’s evolving labour market.
